Glice is a non-frozen ice rink comprised of a series of interlocking ice panels. The inspiration behind Glice is to provide an effective, cost effective and innovative solution for ice rinks. Glice is also suitable for sports and events organisers because the system can  much easier  be installed and  removed than frozen, water based systems. The synthetic ice requires no refrigeration equipment or ice resurfacing machines so Glice is also a cost effective facility for schools, sports centres and ice rink owners.

The synthetic ice has been tested by ice hockey players, figure skaters and speed skaters with results that are comparable to skating on natural ice. The perfectly smooth surface is achieved by a nano-coating that is sprayed over the ice panels by a sprinkler system. The nano-coating is non-toxic and bio-friendly. Without this special coating, Glice is ideal for inline skating or roller skating.
