At GreenFields, based in Nijverdal the Netherlands, we are looking for a proactive, experienced and professional Product Manager. This position is part of the TenCate Downstream EMEA organisation GreenFields. You will report to the Managing Director Downstream EMEA.


What will be the content of your job?

  • Product Manager you will be responsible for developing the artificial turf systems’ portfolio for GreenFields in EMEA and Asia. The Product Manager is the interface between research and development, marketing and sales. In this role, you will develop a thorough market knowledge and relationships with key stakeholders from customers, contractors, sports clubs and international sports federations to identify trends and opportunities in artificial turf industry.
  • on this you will develop the portfolio roadmap and ensure focus on key innovation needs. You will manage the price strategy and product positioning and work with partners to optimise product ranges for their business areas. Besides this, you will work closely with the R&D and marketing colleagues to ensure that sales teams have the right sales and marketing tools to grow their business.


Your key responsibilities are:

  • Define product strategies, present product road maps and positioning
  • Translate market development strategies and plans into concrete actions for assigned products and communication management
  • Ensure portfolio meets set performance indicators
  • Drive growth in the product range
  • Accelerate innovation in the portfolio
  • Determine price strategy and how to optimize total profitability
  • Work closely with all relevant departments to ensure successful delivery of products and services, but also product evolution and new products based on analysis, results and research
  • Ensure compliance to sport association standards and other legal frameworks
  • Manage the sales documentation in collaboration with the marketing department and participate to (the organisation of) international trade shows and conferences
  • Organize product training, to increase the knowledge level of your colleagues


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, energetic and hands on and results driven colleague, with knowledge of and proven experience in Product Engineering or Product Management, preferably in an international sporting goods of industrial products manufacturer. As an analytical person you have the ability to think outside the box to reach a solution. You are self-sufficient, someone who is able to prioritize and work under pressure.

Besides this, you have the following profile and qualifications:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in science, engineering or similar;
  • Experienced in managing technically complex product portfolios
  • Good multi-cultural awareness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English (other languages a bonus)
  • Capable of building a variety of stakeholder relationships
  • Open for travelling if required
