Liverpool Hope University and Bolton Council have both been so happy with the sports pitches installed by GreenFields in 2016 and 2017 respectively that they have once again elected the specialist turf provider for their new pitches to be completed in the next few months.

Both local to the offices of GreenFields, Liverpool Hope added a sand dressed hockey pitch to their extensive campus developments in Winter 2016. Six months later a 3G pitch selected by Bolton Council for Westhoughton High School (just 3 miles away from the GreenFields office) was completed to both World Rugby Regulation 22 and FIFA Quality standards.

Bolton Council reengaged GreenFields to install a 3G FIFA Quality pitch at the new Horwich Leisure Centre. The construction of the new pitch which started in October is due to be complete in the next few weeks. Having been so impressed with the tufted 3G product selected for Westhoughton High, Bolton Council opted for a similar product again. Following a new product launch, they opted for GreenFields Evolution Pro 60 constructed from innovative rhomboid shaped fibres for ultimate playability combined with best in class resilience and durability.

“Investment in our sports facilities is part of our long-term commitment to sports science and the health and wellbeing of our students. We wanted to choose the best pitches we could as part of this commitment.”

James Ellison, Director of Estates, Liverpool Hope University

Liverpool Hope University were so impressed with their FIH National certified hockey field that GreenFields have just started work on a dual sports 3G pitch along with a natural grass pitch and a trim trail to further support student fitness and wellbeing.

Paul Milton, Commercial Director for GreenFields commented: “Our philosophy at GreenFields is not just to build one pitch and move on, we want to build lasting relationships with our clients and provide support to them on all their surface related queries throughout the years.”
