The Centre for Turf Innovation of TenCate Grass combines novel research, the latest technology and player feedback to improve the understanding of player-surface interaction, using innovative methods focusing on the athletes’ experiences.

As a subsidiary of TenCate Grass, GreenFields has full access to the Centre for Turf Innovation, developing systems that meet and exceed the requirements of players, the sport, and facility owners. We integrate novel materials and production methods to improve the performance, longevity, and sustainability of turf systems.

CTI enables GreenFields to use cutting edge, world-leading technologies to perform research, development, and enhance our turf systems. We collect data using in-game scenarios in the laboratory and on the field. Additionally, we are able to isolate the impact of different parts of the system (shock pad, backing, yarns, infill, etc.) in order to better understand their role in the whole system behaviour. Because we have dedicated R&D extrusion lines and tufting capabilities within the CTI, we are able to design, prototype and validate systems within just a matter of days - all under one roof.
