Singapore’s first hotel futsal pitch

Located on the roof of the Amara Hotel in the heart of the financial district, the GreenFields XP nf pitch, measuring 30m by 15m, was installed without any drilling. The pitch, which is open to the public for booking, is managed by Stadio Futsal, a company owned by former Singapore star V Sundra- moorthy and Balestier Khalsa coach Marko Kraljevic.

Kraljevic explained that the base structure of the pitch is imported from Germany, while the artificial turf comes from Holland. “It’s a great playing surface.”
The former Kelantan player added that having a futsal pitch at Amara makes sense, as it is the Lions’ official hotel during centralized training camps.

PERFECT SOLUTION

Said Lions midfielder Isa Halim: “To have this kind of facility at the hotel is really convenient, especially as an area for the team to do light exercises like in the morning. “Usually, we don’t have much space to work with the ball, which can be of benefit especially for players coming back from injury.” Kraljevic added: “I am thinking of bringing my boys there after some of our S.League games.“The players who played (in the match) can do their recovery session at the swimming pool, and those who didn’t play can train on the futsal pitch.
